Street Robotics
We plan to take robots out onto the street for small-scale
performances (weather permitting!). This is a roboticist's nightmare -
uncertain, dynamic, noisy, dirty - but we believe that through the use
of vision and L systems of robots like the Pioneers
it is possible to build interesting behaviors robust enough to meet
this challenge into a luggable package. We picture a robot act (One
person and one robot to start, and hopefully, a second (donations?) in the future, among the
jugglers, singers, and puppeteers of Harvard Square or the New York
Subway system...
